  1. When is the conference?


    May 7-8, 2024 in downtown Chicago 
    Tuesday, 5/7 –8:00 AM to 5:00 PM – Registration opens at 7:30 AM (must be registered to attend)
    Wednesday, 5/8 – 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM – Registration opens at 7:30 AM (must be registered to attend)
  2. Where is the conference?


    JW Marriott Chicago, 2nd floor Grand Ballroom, 151 W Adams St. Chicago, IL 60603, (312) 660-8200. Registration opens at 7:30am.
  3. Is there a Pre-Conference?


    Yes! An optional Employer-Only Pre-Conference Workshop & Dinner is on Monday, May 6, 2024 at 4:00 PM to 8:30 PM. Registration for this pre-conference is in the conference registration form available to employers (HR/benefits professionals) only. Obesity Management & GLP-1s: The roundtable will take place from 4 to 6 PM, followed by a reception (6-7 PM) and dinner (7-8:30 PM). Learn the latest on employer obesity management efforts, if and how we are covering GLP-1s, and what best practice looks like. Interactive roundtables with your peers will focus on important issues and opportunities, plan design ideas, what works and doesn’t and how to prepare for the future. Reports from each table will provide tangible ideas to take with you and all attendees will receive a post-summary of the workshop. After the roundtable, don’t miss the opportunity to continue the workshop discussion, connect with your colleagues and meet new benefits professionals – all in a relaxed, informative and fun environment!
  4. How do I register?


    Registration is closed. Contact Allison Larson at alarsen@mbgh.org for any questions or cancellations.
  5. How is the event conducted?


    This is an in-person event only. Unlike other MBGH events, participation via webinar is not available for the conference.
  6. Interested in receiving HRCI credits for attending the event?


    Those interested in receiving 12 HRCI credit hours must sign in & sign out each day of the conference. Partial credit is not available. Contact Allison Larsen for further questions.
  7. How does MBGH define an "Employer"?


    MBGH defines an employer as an HR Professional who manages their population's health benefits. Consultants and sales reps are not considered employers for this event registration.
  8. May I invite fellow employers (those that are not members and not from my company)?


    Yes! You may invite fellow employers who are not members – they may be eligible for a discount to the conference. Contact Mark Pfleger to learn more. You may also invite your internal colleagues. Special pricing for more than one person from the same company is available – see the registration webpage. Please note – conference registration closes on May 2 at 12PM CT. Onsight registration will not be available.
  9. As an MBGH Member, may I invite other people from my company?


    Yes! Please make sure when they register that they click on the "additional person, same company" registration fee for the discount. Registration closes May 2 at 12 PM CT. MBGH membership is organizational based. Please review the member list to confirm if your organization is a member. 
  10. Can multiple people from my company attend?


    MBGH member registrations and employer registrations do not have a specific cap or restriction. However, if your company is acting as a sponsor for the event, the allowable limit varies depending on the sponsorship level. In the case that your company is neither sponsoring the event nor a member of MBGH, the limit for registrations is set at a maximum of two per company.
  11. Is there a conference mobile app?


    In April, you will receive a confirmation email that includes a link to the mobile app so you can download it to your phone prior to the event. A week before the conference the mobile app will be fully updated. All attendees should download the app in order to fully engage in the conference. This includes participating in informative and fun polling questions and accessing the latest information and important notifications.
  12. What is the cancellation policy?


    Registration cancellations must be requested in writing. Cancellations received on or before April 1, 2024 will receive a refund minus a $50.00 administrative fee. Registrations submitted after April 1, 2024 are nonrefundable. Substitutions are acceptable. To transfer your registration, contact Allison Larsen at alarsen@mbgh.org. Approved refunds will be issued within 30 days.

  17. Are there COVID-19 policies in place?


    The City of Chicago has declared “large-scale events are allowed to operate at full capacity.” Masks and vaccines are not required. Do not attend the conference if you answer "yes" to any of the following questions:
    1.In the past three days, have you had a fever of 100.4F or higher?
    2.Have you experienced symptoms such as coughing, difficulty breathing, fatigue, chills, body aches, headache, new loss of smell or taste, congestion or sore throat, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea?
    3.Have you knowingly had close contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19 or who has new symptoms?
